NeoCon is North America’s largest design exposition and conference for commercial interiors, providing over 40,000 architecture and design professionals with nearly 100 CEU-accredited seminars and association forums with top-notch keynote speakers. Bastille Metal Works was asked by curator Grace Jeffers to exhibit work at this years NeoCon.
Bastille Metal Works crafted two samples, one being cast pewter and the other cast zinc, to be exhibited in this year’s show. The zinc sample boasts a classic patina with a running leaf and beads edge profile whereas the pewter casting provides a one-of-a-kind undulating edge profile which demonstrates the incredibly tight tolerances and technical capacity that Bastille Metal Works is able to achieve.
Bastille’s samples have already created a buzz with designers and architects to the point where Bastille was published in this years NeoCon issue of “Interiors and Sources” magazine. Bastille plans to be the fuel that sparks the visitors next big design idea by showing them the wide array of uses and applications that zinc and pewter can deliver. Bastille expects the samples to inspire new ideas in both residential and commercial design and further Bastille’s reputation of being the leading manufacturer of custom cast zinc and pewter furnishings in the world.
The two castings will be housed in the Materials Pavilion and Bastille’s lead designer, Jason Wech, will be on-site representing Bastille Metal Works and answering any and all questions.
The exposition will take place in the Merchandise Mart in Chicago Illinois from June 10th through the 12th. For additional information regarding the 2013 NeoCon please visit: www.neocon.com
