Katiana is the chief executive officer at La Bastille. She oversees the company’s direction and strategy. She focusses on growth strategies, leadership, innovation and exceeding customer expectations. Katiana comes to Bastille with a strong background in business. She spent 15 years in the areas of finance, business development, operational efficiency, and sales growth at Mayo Clinic.

Katiana is passionate about the growth of Bastille, especially the launch of new product lines and the further expansion into the global marketplace, while maintaining the integrity of the hand-worked product La Bastille is known for.

Lisa comes to La Bastille with a combined 20 years of experiences in fashion and event planning in Manhattan. Her experience in the high end world of these two fast-paced industries contribute to her innate appreciation for luxury products and customer service geared towards a discerning clientele; making her transition to high end design at La Bastille in 2013 a natural one. Lisa is responsible for leading sales strategy at La Bastille and works directly with our clients in helping them choose the material right for their project based on their inspiration. Being so instrumental at the idea stage of a project makes her especially thrilled to see a finished product installed and turned into a reality.

Steve Davis

Sid Law

2ND SHIFT MANUFACTURING COORDINATOR

Sid graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a degree in Furniture Design. He has worked professionally in lighting, designing and building lighting fixtures for the commercial and medical market and a large interior design firm, designing spacial layouts for commercial and office settings. He has also worked as the head of product and advertisement design for a high-end, niche product designer. All of Sidʼs skills make him a perfect fit for Bastille. His technical design skills, along with his passion for hands-on manufacturing make Sid a valuable addition to the Bastille team.

Maurice Johnson

Shop Supervisor

Maurice is a native of Savannah, Georgia. He started with Bastille Metal Works in 2012. He has become a top performer, with a great work ethic and takes great pride in producing our one of a kind custom pieces. Maurice is a graduate of the Chatham County Apprenticeship Program and holds the distinction of being the first graduate of the CCA Program to gain employment with our company. In February of 2013, Maurice was featured in the Savannah Morning News paper, “Embracing A Second Chance”, telling his inspiring story about turning his life around. Maurice is very ambitious and he is dedicated to taking our company to new heights.

Derek Tarrant

Chief Metallurgist

Derek Tarrant is La Bastille’s Chief Metallurgist. Derek comes to La Bastille with decades of experience in the various applications of metals. Derek consults with La Bastille to validate the stability and the quality of the metals we use, ensuring a 100% food-safe product. He also heads the research and development team at Zinc Air Inc working on the development of grid scale Zinc batteries. Prior to Zinc Air, Derek worked for Jarden Zinc where he learned metallurgy and managed their product development for a period of 18 years. Derek hails from London, England, and is the author of several issued patents and holds a degree in Chemistry from East London Polytechnic.
